Quick answer: A personalized rakhi is one made from something only you have — your photo. PhotoJewels' Photo Projection Rakhis (₹1,499–₹3,499) hide a childhood photo of you and your sibling inside the rakhi's centre stone: a designer rakhi on the outside, your memory on the inside. Made to order in India, COD available. For Raksha Bandhan on Friday, August 28, 2026, order by mid-August.
Walk into any market in August and you'll see the same rakhi stalls: threads, beads, cartoon rakhis for kids, fancy stones for adults. Perfectly nice. Completely interchangeable. Your brother could receive the identical rakhi from three different sisters and never know whose was whose.
A personalized rakhi cannot be duplicated — and on a festival that is entirely about one specific relationship, that changes everything.
What makes a rakhi 'personalized'?
Printing a name is step one. The real thing is deeper: a rakhi built from your shared history. Photo Projection Rakhis do this literally — an actual photograph of you and your sibling, digitally enhanced and set inside the rakhi's stone. The room sees a beautiful rakhi; he looks in and sees the two of you.
How a Photo Projection Rakhi is made
You pick the design and upload any photo — even an old, slightly blurry print photographed on your phone. Our team digitally enhances the image, prints it at miniature scale, and sets it inside the rakhi's centre stone by hand. The finished rakhi ships to any address in India (Cash on Delivery available) or gets timed to arrive before the video call if you're abroad. Over 3,00,000 customers, rated 4.8 stars.

Choosing the photo: the 10-second rule
Scroll your gallery (or your parents' cupboard) and pick the photo that makes you stop for ten seconds. That pause is nostalgia — and nostalgia is what your sibling will feel every time they look into the stone. Old beats new, candid beats posed, embarrassing beats perfect.
